Airbnb – Dublin

Our Airbnb in Dublin was our first experience using this great site. And it set the bar high. Paddy & Lorna were incredible. Their listing HERE.

We went for my birthday last year, a quick 4 day trip to Ireland.  Here are my photos of their lovely home, and a few of our favorite day we spent in Dublin…in the fishing village of Howth, where we went on a gorgeous cliff walk.

Lorna & Paddy’s adorable cat, Tiger, greeted us at their door

Lorna had also put together an extensive guidebook for us. That highlighted the “must-sees” around Dublin. Here are links to a few places we suggest going when in Ireland, some provided originally by Lorna.

Queen of Tarts –went here 3 times. Loved the Raspberry Scones, and Pies 🙂

Beerrrrrrr — buy tickets online first if you can. Free Guinness at the top!

V.C.C – a speakeasy, hard to find but worth the search! Amazing Cocktails.

The Stag’s Head – a must when in Dublin

Happy Adventures,

Erika

  1. Is their home close to the city center? Cause They sound really nice and we are still looking for a great place to stay when we visit Dublin (couldn’t open the link)

    • Hello! Yes, it is close to the city center, about a 15 minute walk. My link is working, that is so weird. I can e-mail her for you! I wonder if I can just open the link because it is a place we have stayed/visited. But I will get back to you asap about it! Because if I was to stay in Dublin again, it would be here. They also let you use their pair of bikes–so ideal!

      • Oh that is so great! Still some time before we go but always good to know a good address!
Will try the link tomorrow again 🙂

  2. Hi guys, thank you so much for the write up, it was an absolute pleasure having you guys stay with us. We really loved doing AIRBNB, but unfortunately we had to sell Bayview Avenue. I might open up again in a new venue in the future and if I do I’ll send you a new link and hopefully it’ll be just as pretty and peaceful. Tiger the cat says hello. xxx L
